Hidden and sealed within the Misty Mountains lies the Qilin, an ancient sacred beast from Chinese mythology, guarded for generations by five clans that wield the elemental powers of Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth. In a desperate bid to save his mother, Wenren Yixuan secretly unlocks the Giant Que Divine Shield, allowing the young Qilin to escape. He eventually tracks the cub down to Dishan Village and brings it back to the Misty Mountains. Word of its return spreads, drawing hordes of demons and monsters that lurk throughout the mist-shrouded peaks, biding their time to strike. Meanwhile, the brothers of Dishan Village, led by Chiji, also venture into the Misty Mountains. Though all factions hold opposing stances, they share a single coveted target.
